How a German SB wash bay works
- Drive into a free bay and insert coins or a token – the money turns into washing time.
- Select a program on the control panel; the timer runs across all programs.
- Wash with the lance and (optionally) the foam brush.
- Leave the bay and dry/vacuum on the parking spots so the next person can wash.
Program names translated
| German | English | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Vorwäsche | Pre-wash | Soaks off road film, insects, salt |
| Hochdruckreinigen | High-pressure wash | Rinses off loosened dirt – keep ≥ 30 cm distance |
| Schaumbürste | Foam brush | Mechanical cleaning – only after rinsing off grit |
| Klarspülen | Clear rinse | Removes detergent |
| Lack konservieren | Wax / paint protection | Thin protective film |
| Glanzspülen | Final rinse (osmosis water) | Demineralised water – dries with far fewer water spots |
| Powerschaum | Power foam | Separate foam unit for heavy soaking |
| Felgenreiniger | Wheel cleaner | Separate unit for brake dust |
Recommended order
Pre-wash/power foam → wheel cleaner → high pressure (top to bottom) → optional brush → clear rinse → wax → final rinse → dry.
